Castle Cottage Italian Night Dinner In October.
We are having a night of Italian food on Sunday 5th October 2014. Four course dinner with canapés & Italian breads all for £30 per head. Please email glyn@castlecottageharlech.co.uk or phone 01766780479 to make a booking and we can send you the menu - Bella Madonna!

We have a limited car park area in front of our annex (only three spaces) which are on a first come gets the space basis. Due to Cadw doing work on the Castle and turning the old Castle Hotel into a visitor centre the castle car park will be shut until September 2014. You can park on street in the surrounding area (limited to 1 hour stays during the hours of 9am to 6pm), but free of restrictions from 6pm until 10am. Plus there is a public car park within 150 metres just along the high street.

25 YEARS AT CASTLE COTTAGE!
During the past twenty five years, Castle Cottage has grown, developed, and been upgraded under the ownership of Glyn & Jacqueline Roberts. This year we have decided to do things a little differently. Due to the recession, we have not increased our prices for the past three years, and are not going to!
After re-structuring our menu, we will now offer a two course option at £35pp as well as a three course for £40pp. This will include canapés served in the bar, our homemade bread with a choice of six starters, six mains, and six puddings.
Also, new to this year we will be offering a five course menu, at £45pp including canapés in the bar, bread, appetiser, starter, main, pudding and cheese. As this is a tasting menu, all portions of the seasonal produce chosen by Glyn will be smaller, and must be taken by the entire table, alterations are not available.
These menu changes will start from April onwards.

Scores on the Doors
Yet again we have been awarded 5 out of 5 with the 'Scores on the Doors' from Gwynedd council for hygiene.

My Yummy Valentine

Good food, fine wine and no need to order a taxi home. Thank Cupid for restaurants-with-rooms - Elizabeth Carter, consultant editor, The Which? Good Food Guide, The Guardian Saturday January 27 2007

"...Glyn and Jacqueline Roberts have recently renovated their characterful 400-year-old restaurant-with-rooms near the 13th-century castle. The three-course menu, however, still bears Glyn's stamp. Canapés in the bar are followed by aromatic lamb pancakes with hoisin sauce or duck liver and Cointreau parfait with a fruit chutney and toasted brioche. Main courses might consist of free-range Shropshire chicken breast with a wild mushroom and Madeira sauce, or a duet of Welsh beef - grilled fillet mignon and a steak, kidney and mushroom suet pudding with red wine sauce. Follow that with grilled prunes wrapped in bacon on toast or more traditional treacle tart with nutmeg ice cream. There are seven spacious bedrooms in a strikingly converted 16th-century building next door where beams and standing timbers contrast with contemporary furniture, brushed steel light fittings and ultra-modern bathrooms".
